Air Tran has joined the many airlines that have recently waived their date change and cancellation penalties on flights affected by recent adverse weather conditions throughout the West.

In a notice released this month the airline has advised passengers scheduled for travel to/from cities in the northeast affected by the winter weather system that it has extended the waiver period to 14 days past original date of travel for those passengers booked for travel on December 27th, through Thursday, December 30, 2010.

The airline further states that passengers may change their reservation without penalty as long as travel is completed within 14 days after the original scheduled departure date, based on space availability without fees or fare adjustments to on flights to Allentown, Pa., Atlantic City, N.J., Baltimore/Washington, Md`.
