Keyword Research – How Important is it – Is it Expensive?

Article by Maurie Fay

Firstly, lets talk about why keywords are important, and why keyword research is critical to your website. or blog, or page being found on the vastness of the Internet.

The best way to “visualize” this concept is to take an analogy from the non cyberspace world. Let’s suppose you had the most wonderful blue widgets on the whole planet and you decided for economic reasons to set up your store smack bang in the middle of the Sahara Desert!

OK…You realize that after things have been slow for some time, that you really do need to do some radio advertising. That happens, but still your sales are zero, apart from the widget collector who could afford the air fare and the RV rental, and the three days away from their job. The radio ads were fine, but the people looking for blue widgets just couldn’t receive the radio signal from the Sahara.

Setting up a website without doing your keyword research is just the same as having a store in the middle of the Sahara.

No one will see you, no one will find you and more importantly, no one will buy your blue widgets. They will buy their blue widgets from the website which appeared on the first page of the search engine. Not because they were better widgets, not because they were better value, but because they never got to see your widgets.

Then you decide to target your audience, and broadcast on Widgets FM..a station dedicated to the survival and design of Blue Widgets. You have made a crucial step…you have not only found the people who are looking for your product, you can supply their wants and needs.

Get the drift?

Having good keywords linked to your website is like a multi million dollar advertising campaign to let people know you have the best blue widgets, and you are located in the Sahara! If your product is good, then they will come.

Now we have people looking at your site and your widgets. To get them to drop by your store is all about your website content!..but we digress, that is another subject!

The point is, with good keyword use and research you will be found. even in the Sahara Desert.! Much like good, target radio advertising.

So just how do we find the keywords to use?

I will shortly post a follow up article about that very subject…

Timeshare Holidays Offer Flexibility and Affordability Provided You Research the Scheme Properly

Article by Alison Withers

The concept of buying a share of holiday apartment, lodge or villa in a resort, known as timeshare, is now more than 30 years old.

The most common method is to purchase club membership but it’s also possible to buy either a freehold, leasehold or licence shareholding to use the accommodation for an agreed number of weeks per year and for a fixed number of years. You will have to pay an annual maintenance fee once the initial purchase is made.

Usually two weeks ineach year are set aside for maintenance when the accommodation is not available to timeshare owners.

In conjunction with all the other share owners you will be a member of the home owners’ association, usually set up by covenant to cover the buildings’ continued management.

Timeshare can provide high quality holidays at a cheaper rate because the developer has no ongoing promotion costs. In essence once the start up costs have been covered, the accommodation is self catering and has guaranteed occupancy through the time share system, so that some of the savings can be passed on to the time share scheme members.

Another benefit is that there are no reservation problems as there might be with a hotel and you can have guests or a couple of friends to stay. You can budget well in advance for your holiday and take advantage of deals on services like air fares and car hire.

While the units are self-catering, meaning you are not tied to hotel meal times, there are usually on-site bars, restaurants and snack bars for times when you don’t feel like cooking for yourself.

The result is a holiday at a level of luxury and freedom of movement that you might not otherwise be able to afford.

One of the disadvantages of the time share scheme may be that you don’t want to holiday in the same place year after year. However, in the mid-1970s an international exchange scheme was set up allowing people to swap time and place whenever they feel the need.

In the early days the industry developed a bad name partly due to over-zealous selling to hapless holiday-makers in European resorts and partly due to a number of over optimistic developers using their time share apartments as collateral for funding other projects.

While much tighter regulation has been introduced since the early days it still makes sense to ensure that safeguards are built into the timeshare agreement to protect your investment against a downturn in sales or the financial reversal of the developer.

It isn’t a common problem, but there is a possibility that the developer’s property could be taken over by the bank if there are cash flow problems, perhaps because the sale of units has been sluggish, and then the apartments could be rented out as longer term accommodation.

Once some apartments have been sold as time shares, however, it can be difficult to change the project’s nature, so the mroe timeshares are sold the greater the security for each owner becomes.

On the whole, maintenance once all the units have been sold should not be a problem since it’s controlled by the timeshare owners themselves control the management through their membership of the home owners’ association.

Thirty years later time share holiday schemes have matured, are much better regulated and increasingly popular, provided you have done your homework and checked not only that the resort is right for you, but also that the terms of the initial purchase agreement and protection against excessive increases in maintenance fees are robust and that the scheme is a member of a reputable time share trade association.

A timeshare holiday can offer choice, flexibility and a degree of luxury that might otherwise be unaffordable. But although the industry is much better regulated than it was when it started 30 years ago it’s still sensible to check the terms and conditions of the agreement before buying. Why Early Research is Not All That?s Required to Get a Discount Air Fare

Recently, I researched a trip from Los Angeles to Atlanta and back. Checking fares several months in advance revealed a decent fare but because plans were not set, no reservation was made. About three to four weeks prior to departure, another search was made and showed prices were RISING, even though the economy was in turmoil and air fares everywhere were dropping like rain from a thundercloud. A booking was hurriedly made but I continued to check fares and surprisingly, they continue to place top to bottom, as I had expected.http://www.airlinefares.bankcreditsite.com/why-early-research-is-not-all-thats-required-to-get-a-discount-air-fare/

However, the general consensus was that the fares were going on sale almost every week, and some airlines offer travel to Europe for less than what it cost to not go hand in Atlanta. Travel experts have been suggesting that to wait until the last minute would typically result in better rates, so what with the higher prices I saw there?http://www.airlinefares.bankcreditsite.com/why-early-research-is-not-all-thats-required-to-get-a-discount-air-fare/

The simple answer is ROUTE. Certain routes between some cities have fewerCompetitive than other routes, and while you could fly from San Francisco to New York and back for $ 220, LA-Atlanta was $ 350 or more. One would think that SF-NY-NY and LA would be a fiercely competitive way, but you must remember that smaller and newer airlines have increased the competition on these routes and the airline in a price war. A certain newcomer from Detroit-based airline has ridiculous prices for many cities – like $ 19 – $ 49 Detroit to Orlando or even to LAto Detroit. But Detroit is not a high traffic route, so that every new cut only serve to available resources more opportunities instead of creating new revenue into slices. Las Vegas used to be a revenue maker for the airlines, but the addition of a discount store is the lowest fare sometimes pruned under $ 50 one way.http://www.airlinefares.bankcreditsite.com/why-early-research-is-not-all-thats-required-to-get-a-discount-air-fare/
