Ryanair and Chief Executive Michael O’Leary are sometimes ridiculed in the press for outlandish schemes, such as the oft-mentioned plan to offer passengers specially-designed ‘vertical seating’ for a £4.00 fare, or the £1.00 fee to use an onboard lavatory.  Almost without fail, these are purely headline grabbing moves, and Ryanair have become experts at executing outlandish publicity stunts.
